My full name is Nikodemas Reikalas, but I go by Niko. Niko is easier to spell, pronounce, and remember. I like to think my name represents me - bubbly, upbeat, and spunky. Let me present, Brittney, the BEST Creative Artist I've ever worked with.
When extra shutters are needed, Brittney is the first person I call. She provides the additional hands on deck during weddings as the co-shooter and during extremely large projects where more mega pixels are needed.
She is based out of the Northern Virginia area and is the creative artist at Brittney Sherman Photography.

How long have I been in photography?
I was born in the age of film.
I was forged in the dark room smelling the sweet smell of chemicals.
I've evolved into the digital age of photography.
When I was growing up, my father had a dark room in the house. He'd shoot film, and we'd develop it. I was also lucky enough to learn my composition techniques from my "brother from another mother," Steve. He started as a photojournalist in high school and later formed the husband and wife wedding photography team at Warmowski Photography in Southern Illinois.
I took photography classes in college and became the main photographer for special events while working in the Parks and Recreation field for 22 years. Needless to say, I've had a camera in hand since elementary school and I'm almost a 1/2 century old... you do the math!

1. I Love cycling, mountain and road. You'll also find me hiking, camping, and kayaking.
2. I enjoy video gaming. My favorite games include Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Halo, Gears of War, Bioshock, Skyrim, Lego games, Mario Kart, and of course arcade Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders have a special place in my heart.
3. Star Wars is life. This is the way.
4. I’m willing to try almost anything twice.
5. My two kids are my life! They will never truly know how lucky I am to have them in my life.
6. 4 dogs, 6 cats. A neighborhood bear. Some fox, and even a bobcat wander near my house. Love me all the fur babies!
7. I drink enough Pumpkin Spice Lattes when it's in season to keep Starbucks in business.
8. My favorite holiday and season is Autumn / Halloween.
9. I consider myself a connoisseur in all things brunch, Oreos, bacon, and pizza. I LOVE food!
10. I was born and raised in Chicago and attended High school and community college in the northwest suburbs. I finished my undergrad degree at Arizona State University. Lived in Northern California for 5 years. Washington for 2.5 years, and now Virginia since 2008. I Love to travel and document my experiences through photography. Seeing, touching, feeling life and this incredible world is truly an amazing experience.
